Thank you

The exibition is now over and it has been a wonderful day with lots and lots of visitiors. When you think of all the positive feedback we've got today it makes it all worth the time and effort we've put into this project.
I just want to thank everyone that stopped by, and for you who did'nt show up there's some archived recordings of the whole day which you find under "watch us live".

We will be back with some photos and stuff later, but now it's time to clean this place up.

Stay tuned!

The Triforce Trailer

Tetrahedron factory 3000

Today has been a very tough yet important day for the group. We have discussed and been problem solvers all day.
After lunch, we decided to split up into two teams.
Johan, Josue and Andreas went to a studio to make tetrahedrons for the installations and Nina, Carolin and John worked on finish the trailer, making t-shirt prints and looking for background-paper to install the tetrahedrons on.
I just finished.
Im sure the rest of group 16 is up too.
The Triforce is our little baby. We cherish it and really want to make it look the best on friday and saturday.
2 more days to go!
We'll keep you updated!

Stockholm is getting close

The Triforce creative team worked really hard yesterday to get all the small details perfect for the journey to Stockholm on Tuesday morning.
I, the project manager have been working from Stockholm since I came up here a little sooner than the rest of the group.
The prototype is complete and rumor says that  Andreas and John rendered out 500 video clips yesterday. Now that is a lot of rendering. Im very lucky to have such a devoted team to work this hard with.
Johan was building on the actual craft that is supposed to carry the projector and such.
Carro made the team something extra. She animated a teaser trailer for those who just want to get a sneek peek on what it is like to use the triforce.
Josue has been working on photography, pulling strings so that we have as much as possible for the exhibition and helping out with some animation.
I have been shopping for necessary stuff, getting practical stuff and had two meetings. One with Stockholm and one with Metro Teknik. Hopefully, the other newspapers will respond today or tomorrow as well.
Group 16 is on the bus somewhere between Karlskrona and Stockholm, getting ready for a fantastic exhibition.
See you soon!
The Lightglove

Starting to take shape

Rosell

Johan is doing a great job cutting plywood and creating triangles for the installation. The rest of the group is also working hard on the prototype which is supposed to be ready on friday. Today is also a big day for the exhibition as a whole because the site went live earlier today (Check it out on www.eat09.se). The invites and press release was sent out too.

What is the Triforce?

Right before we started brainstorming for ideas, we decided that we wanted our solution to be user friendly, and most importantly, give everyone the same opportunity to create their own art piece.
So we came up with the idea of an audiovisual installation that leaves most of the creativity over to the user. We called it the TRIFORCE installation.
The TRIFORCE is basically a triangular- grid system containing animations and ambient sounds. The whole grid is projected on a wall filled with real life pyramids made of rigid paper. The projecting of the pyramids gives the user an illusion of having 3-D triangles right in front them!

Triforce

The network of triangles are interactive and reacts to a Light Glove which is given to the user when entering the room of the TRIFORCE.
The Nintendo Wii remote picks up the position of the Light Glove and therefore triggers music and animation to appear on the wall.
The Light Glove is basically the tool that will enable you to create your own piece of music or art! You will become the VJ of your own era.

The goal of the entire TRIFORCE is to let the user feel greatly influential and powerful over the art piece they are creating and to let the user, apply their hands to create something brand new.  Analog movements interacted and combined with digital technology, makes the whole experience of the TRIFORCE very vibrant, fun and vivid!
